Andrew Pierce met Ashley Hudson at the church they both were a part of in Hamburg. They realized at the time that they were a perfect match. Ashley aged 17 at the time and hadn't had previously had a romantic relationship, took the time to get acquainted. It was love at first sight. Andrew wanted God, on New Days Eve right before the year's end, to grant him one more blessing for 2016. He wished for Ashley to accept. Ashley wanted to have the wedding with a rustic, folk theme that represented both her and Andrew. To create their perfect wedding, the couple took a bit from everything they love. The location was the back 40 acres of the land Ashley grew up on. Ashley was familiar with the whole area, having walked through it and playing in the area. Andrew, Ashley and their friends had already walked in this area several times when they started to get together. The groom and bride performed the majority of the work themselves, so personalization is important. Andrew and Ashley's father built the seating areas and an arch to be used during the ceremony. Ashley painted many of the decorations. Ashley says, "Our wedding would not be the magical experience I've always dreamed of had Anna's stunning floral arrangements had not been put in place."
